Virtual Sex and Violence – That’s okay…

It’s all good according to the First Amendment (See: United States of America Bill of Rights). When it comes to words, and now virtual worlds, the Supreme Court says it’s okay to do what you like. You see, when it’s not real, it’s okay… and as long as it doesn’t infringe upon the rights of another person, killing zombies or the Taliban enemy is just fine. It’s not blind justice, it’s just the way things are seen in a virtual world. You see, according to the United States Supreme Court, if it is not real, it seems to be okay. Chop the heads of the villain with a revved up chainsaw or dull machete because it doesn’t actually happen – it’s not real! Just like those books depicting horrible and unthinkable crimes where the bad guy (or girl) gets roasted like potatoes in boiling oil or gets their eyes gouged out with hot pokers.
Don’t get us wrong! We’re all about free speech and the right to say whatever you like. In fact, we like the fact that in a virtual world it is not legal to do almost anything you like and easily get away with it – especially if you’re a minor. So here’s the difference as we see it: As long as your product is virtual and does not directly harm (we mean physically kill or destroy) a person of any age, no matter the outcome by the USE of the product, it is not the responsibility of the manufacturer to restrict the audience or sale to an audience in a free market society.
This is a pretty big deal! In fact, it’s a REALLY BIG fucking deal! Some might say it opens a can of virtual worms that can wriggle their way through the interwoven web of technology and society without the moral or physical retribution that normally might be associated with such a precedent. Say what you want, sell what you want and as long as you are within the bounds of the United States of America you can even sell it to minors without having someone sue you. Well – they will always be able to sue you, but at least the Supreme Court has your back.
So we’ve got a great new video game to appeal to all ages… A band of 9 black robed mindless zombies randomly wander the streets of Washington D.C. stealing small children and eating their brains while defending themselves from parents who pretend like they are concerned about the welfare of their children. Let’s make it fair and only make the porn and alcohol available to the parents to see how many really are concerned about that their children are doing and we’ll leave random drugs lying around just for temptation. Of course we’ll add the morally right and Puritan politicians who you can’t tell if they are really zombies or the ‘good guys’ working on behalf of the parents. Play for awhile… we want to see who wins!

Deceit, betrayal and sneaky dealings

It’s getting to the point you can’t trust anyone. Maybe there was one day back in history that you could trust your fellow man – take them on their word and work toward a common goal – but not anymore! Oh sure, we know that even in Biblical times theft and deceit were rampant and part of life, but when it hits you – when it comes to your front door – when it bursts through the glass ceiling of common belief – we all just have to take a step back and wonder… WTF?
So let’s make some new rules.
- If you’re going to lie – just tell us.
- If you’re going to bend us over and shove it anywhere – warn us.
- If you think you are better, smarter or just plain superior – tell the rest of the world so they can humbled by your greatness and bow down to your superiority.
Maybe the peons that make up the ‘rest’ of the world deserve to be oppressed and screwed by all of you who think (or know) you’re better than any of the ‘other’ people. So just forewarn the rest of us so we can not have the dumbfounded look on our faces when your finally decide to put your master plan into place.
Then again, maybe it is the “Thrill of Victory” that rattles the beans of the superior race or it really is just the look on the faces of the unsuspecting. Whatever it is, the rest of the world would like the proverbial “heads-up”.
Unlike most Cruel Word rants, this can be associated with politics but not necessarily. It is your boss, your friend (or someone you thought was your friend), a relative (maybe you could expect that) or a co-worker – anyone can be the culprit. So if you’re reading this from the superior pulpit or the lowly underground, let’s just get the rules out in the open so everyone can realize just who is screwing who – and maybe they can enjoy it.
In the Cross-Hairs of Controversy
Let it be said right off the bat that we do not support the senseless death of anyone by an alleged gunman or gunwoman who should or should not have the right to carry, wield and use a firearm for the protection and preservation of themselves or those around them. With that said… who’s pulling my finger? Or the trigger for that matter? Sure, in passing we all of sensible minds laughed over the cross-hair targets presented by the ‘crazy’ politicians who think they know better than anyone else, but come on! We’ve still go Obamaphobia, Beckaphobia, Palinaphobia and countless other insecurities that cause the weak minded to take arms against civilized society. Call us crazy, but at what point do rational people take over the country?
Right wing – Left wing – uptight insecure emasculated self righteous bigots who feel it is their God given and divine duty to force the pretentious and quivering masses into directions they have chosen for whatever immoral and personal beliefs they have convoluted in their own minds. And we- “THE PEOPLE” find only fault with other people who don’t see, can’t see or are unwilling to see a particular point of view. At what point did America become so self absorbed with our own altered conscience that we stopped believing in anything that made sense for someone other than ourselves? Are we so single minded that the institution of government has become nothing more than a dueling match to see who can fire first and take out the opponent before the next zombie drone comes along?
WE DO FEEL BAD for the recent events in Arizona, but did any of us really not expect something at some point? Sure, we all hope the police and security are doing their jobs and that nothing really does happen, but let’s see a show of hands… how many thought something like this was bound to happen? We just didn’t know where and when. So what’s next… everybody plays nice for a few weeks while the mainstream media plays to death (no pun intended) the recent events and interviews the next ex-great godson of the late and former person who saw what happened from across the street? COME ON!!!!
A little respect for the dead. A little empathy for the accused. A little scrutiny for our own selves… Who really is the sick one here? The person who pulled the trigger? The people who didn’t see the problem? The parents who were un-aware? The society that turns a blind eye? Or the masses who feel the need to grieve for something they can’t even remotely relate because they need some release form the mundane and tortured life they have not been able to escape themselves. Our condolences…

We’ve seen it happen… it happens all of the time. State prisons are filled with felony criminals who write bad checks for many reasons – usually drugs, but it could be anything. If you need the cash, cut the check… maybe you can hope payroll will put it’s deposit into your account before it bounces and you’re charged $20-$35-$50 dollars. Yes, we know it happens and in this economy, it seems to be happening even more. The Wall Street fat-cats get richer and enjoy their million dollar bonuses and legal tax evasion tactics while the average ‘Joe’ get the middle class shaft up the backside of life.
Sure, we understand. The ‘average’ American didn’t go to Harvard, Yale or Princeton – in fact, the probably didn’t even go to college. Alright, we’ll be honest – some didn’t even finish high school and if they did – they skipped by on the slick computerized pencil dots that they copied from the person next to them. Ignorance may be bliss but it doesn’t seem to pay too well.
The famous “Animal House” movie has a great line (well, many of them) but “Fat, Drunk and Stupid is no way to go through life son…” Ah, so what’s wrong with two out of three? We certainly enjoy the occasional beverage and that may lead to stupidity and the obesity epidemic covers more than half of the American population. It may have been made in the 1970′s about the late 1950′s and early 1960′s but it still rings true today.
Sex, booze and debauchery! Just ask any politician. They may try to portray a holier than thou attitude and morally uptight conservative persona but too many we have seen fall from grace. Who Knows! Even the exalted Republican Ronald Reagan may have had a fall from grace it’s just that he lost his mind and couldn’t remember. It’s hard to prosecute anyone if they don’t remember .
So let the government borrow the money. Let them stick their hands into the pockets of every American again. No matter what decision they finally come to again, someone is going to get screwed. Republicans won’t raise taxes (on anything) and Democrats can’t cut enough. Let’s see what happens when the whole thing collapses and America has to start groveling at the feet of the Chinese government for forgiveness. Mandarin anyone?
