Well, we think it just couldn’t be helped. Months of negotiations and bickering and backstabbing haven’t amounted to much of anything when it comes to the Super Committee, Congress and the Almighty Politicians. After a summer of impending collapse and economic doom, what better than to have as a holiday gift for the entire world? Leave it to the American Politician to not negotiate for the betterment of mankind but for the interests of their constituents. Blame the President, he’s the one that got us into this mess – oh, wait… which one? When did the partisan politics start and the great divide of society pitting the social and economic classes against each other?Well, to be quite honest, it has been this way for the last 200 years…
It seems that our founding fathers may have been ignorantly bliss in trying to imply in writing that “ALL MEN ARE CREATED EQUAL” when in fact, the people who hold prominence have the power to control the lives of those who do not have control. It has always been a challenge to walk like the supporters who elect officials into office and the will of the people who pay the politicians to make decisions based on personal interest, but that doesn’t mean that EVERY politician is bad, we’ve tried to offer suggestion in the past but they must have been too obscure and oppressive to make any real difference in the way things don’t work today. In case you forgot, or you just missed it, READ NEW SUGGESTED RULES HERE.
Add on top of the fiasco of government the #Occupy Protestors across the US that are getting beaten, arrested and sprayed with pepper spray becasue they believe in a cause. (Yes, Mr. Gingrich, they smell and probably would get a job if there were any to be had.) How much of an idiot do you have to be to snub your nose at the very people you should SERVE? It seems that the GOP is trying to figure out how to get the own asses out of a sling instead of trying to cross the isle and actually fix what is broken. The Democrats aren’t without blame either – they shouldn’t be threatening the livelihood and potential of real and meaningful change becasue they don’t agree with ‘everything’. Bull – get past your own self serving interests and bite the bullet – do what need to be done and not what you think should be done – do what is right for the American People and not the few that you bend over to support.
And still we have Egypt that began the “Arab Spring” movement – back in the limelight because the military won’t relinquish power to the people and then you have something that sound more familiar to what is going on in our own backyard. If the American Politicians aren’t watching what is going on – they should. When the same thing begins to happen on a larger scale in the “good ‘ole USA” it will be time to do something. Ron Paul wants to bring the military home to the US – is that to suppress the American People who are rising up against the incredibly idiotic politicians? Is that the GOP policy to beat down the uprising and suppress those who are against what you believe in? It wasn’t that long ago that police and military took to the streets to beat down protesters in the civil rights movement and the anti-war demonstrations of the 1960′s and 1970′s. Will it take backyard hangings and the shooting of students to bring the message to the forefront of change? It’s all coming to fruition… just keep watching.
TAMPA, FL – AUGUST 30:
It seems all the right wing conservative Republicans have quickly adapted the ‘spin’ on Mitt Romney‘s latest ‘words’. The spin is the fact that 47% of Americans will not vote for him. Okay. We get that, although the numbers may be changing. The spin puts an even 47% Republican and 47% Democrat with a 6% Independent or undecided. Sure. That makes sense. Sometimes people can be persuaded to change their minds, but for the most part, Americans are divided about what they believe in and who they trust. If you look at the past, pollsters would say the majority of Hispanics and Blacks are Democrats because they are more liberal and rely on the government for assistance. White, southern, evangelical Christians tend to be more conservative and Republican. For the most part, you can look at demographics throughout the United States and know who is going to vote for whom. Republicans don’t campaign heavily in Democratic states because they believe it’s a waste of time and money – the same can be said for Democrats. It is what has become named the “swing states” that draw the most attention since the hanging chad incident.
So the swing states may be the key to the victor and the spoils of reward lie in the hands of the undecided, but the winner of the 2012 Presidential Election may lie in the hands of those who get pissed off enough at one side or the other to motivate them to get off their asses and actually vote. Republicans have the upper hand becasue the voter base is committed and usually it can be proven to be a larger early voter turnout and support base that encourages participation. Democrats may have some that vote early (and often according to some) but the majority wait until election day to get to the poll and cast their vote. Both sides prefer a strong election day turnout and bombard true supporters to encourage, remind and persuade them to get to the polls no matter what, and it works for the true believers – and it works. It’s the 6% of the undecided that both Republicans and Democrats try to convince their side is better than the other and can change the United States for the better against the evil of the other person.
It’s not always about experience, ability, or quality of the candidate, it’s about how much money they can raise, how much they can trash talk their opponent and, most importantly… not screw up. For some, they can’t believe a ‘black man’ became president and it’s about his record over the past 4 years – which it should be. For others, it is about getting Obama out office and replacing him with ‘someone’ who looks the part. Does Romney have the experience to run the country? Does he have the connections to make a change or do what he claims is “turn this country around?” Given the very public record of Romney in business and even as Governor of Massachusetts, the differences between the tow candidates are not dissimilar. Has Obama done anything in the past 4 years? Could we be in worse shape than we are now? Do you think it will get better or worse no matter who is in office? All of these questions will be answered soon… stay tuned.
